Custom inflatable chick mascot costume
Digital Inflatables designed and built a custom inflatable costume shaped like a yellow chick, presented in 2020. With its round body, wide orange beak, black eyes, pink cheeks and orange feet, the character is worn by a person and keeps its volume thanks to a continual blowing system. A costume like this works as a walking act at a party, a trade fair, a parade or outside a shop, wherever a mascot needs to move through the crowd.
What does the inflatable chick costume look like?
A large yellow chick with a round body, a wide orange beak, black dot eyes, pink cheeks, short arms and orange-yellow feet.
In the workshop’s photo, the inflated costume stands on a blue-grey mat in front of a white wall. It rises well above an adult’s waist, giving a round silhouette that is easy to spot.
The short arms and wide feet keep the shape simple and readable from a distance, like a cartoon character.
How does an inflatable costume work?
A fan blows air into the shell continuously: the costume holds its shape as long as the fan runs, and the air around the wearer is renewed.
On worn costumes the fan usually runs on a battery, so the wearer can move freely.
Before ordering, check the battery life, the view from inside, the heat for the wearer and how long the costume can be worn. The guide to custom inflatable lead times shows how much time to allow.
