Inflatable Saint Bernard mascot for the Fondation Barry
In 2023, Digital Inflatables designed and built a giant inflatable Saint Bernard mascot for the Fondation Barry du Grand-Saint-Bernard. The white and brown dog sits and hugs a barrel bearing a Swiss cross, and a soft, fluffy fabric imitates its coat. The foundation, set up in 2005 and based in Martigny, carries on breeding Saint Bernard dogs and brings them closer to the public.
What did Digital Inflatables make for the Fondation Barry?
A giant inflatable Saint Bernard, sitting and holding a brown barrel with white stripes and a red Swiss cross in its paws.
The dog has a white body, brown ears and muzzle, and a red tongue. Instead of a smooth fabric, the workshop chose a soft, fluffy material that makes the mascot look like a huge plush toy.
In the video, the mascot stands on the blue floor of an indoor hall; a child standing next to it gives a sense of scale.
What is the Fondation Barry du Grand-Saint-Bernard?
A non-profit foundation, set up in January 2005, that took over the kennel and the breeding of Saint Bernard dogs from the canons of the Grand-Saint-Bernard.
It is based in Martigny. Its aim is to keep breeding the dogs at their place of origin and to bring the public closer to them.
The foundation also presents Barryland, a park devoted to the Saint Bernard dog. A giant mascot extends that link with the public, in a hall or at an event.

Request a quoteCan a giant inflatable mascot have a plush look?
Yes: a fluffy fabric replaces the smooth one and gives a soft, plush-toy feel, as on this Saint Bernard.
This kind of fabric suits indoor or sheltered use, as rain and mud affect it more than a coated fabric. The choice is made at the start, together with the shape and colours.
More mascots and giant animals are gathered on the giant inflatable character page.
