Giant inflatable mascot for Hôpital de l’Enfance, Lausanne
In 2019, Digital Inflatables designed and made a giant inflatable mascot for the Hôpital de l’Enfance in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is a yellow creature with a long body ringed in purple, big white eyes and a wide-open red mouth. In the photos, it lies on the canopy above a building entrance, held by ropes, in full view of the forecourt.
What did Digital Inflatables make for the Hôpital de l’Enfance in Lausanne?
A giant inflatable mascot, in 2019: a yellow creature with a purple-ringed body, big eyes and an open red mouth.
In one photo, the mascot lies full length on the flat canopy of a beige building with brown blinds, above the entrance and the forecourt.
In another, a person holds the ropes that secure it to the edge of a blue roof.
The same post shows a 3D model of a snake mascot from the top, front and side, and in perspective.
What was the Hôpital de l’Enfance in Lausanne?
The Hôpital de l’Enfance (HEL), on Chemin de Montétan in Lausanne, closed for good on 14 May 2025.
According to the CHUV press release, paediatric emergencies and most paediatric consultations, operations and hospital stays then moved to the new children’s hospital of the CHUV.
For a hospital that welcomes children, a brightly coloured giant character makes the entrance friendlier and easier to find.

Request a quoteHow do you install a giant inflatable mascot on a building?
It is laid on a flat surface such as a canopy, then tied with ropes to solid anchor points, as in the Lausanne photos.
Before installation, check the available surface, the anchor points, access to power for the blower and exposure to wind.
More characters by the workshop are shown on the page on giant inflatable mascots and characters; budgets are in the guide to custom inflatable structure prices.
