Illuminated inflatable advertising column for Volxrox
Digital Inflatables designed and built an illuminated inflatable column for Volxrox, a Swiss rock band, in 2021. Orange, topped with red and beige chevron points, it carries large FANSHOP VOLXROX lettering and marks the band’s merchandise stand from a distance. It is sublimation-printed, fitted with lighting, kept inflated by a fan and packed in a flight case.
What did Digital Inflatables build for Volxrox?
An orange inflatable column with 3D elements at the top: red and beige chevron-shaped points.
The shaft reads FANSHOP above VOLXROX, in white, outlined and red letters that stand out against the sky.
The fabric is sublimation-printed, which sets the colours into the fibre. Built-in lighting makes the column glow, a fan keeps it inflated, and once deflated it packs into a flight case.
Who are Volxrox?
VolXRoX is a Swiss rock band whose music is listed as rock, pop rock and alpine folk.
On its website, the band runs a Fanshop selling music on CD, clothing and fan merchandise.
The column shows that word in large letters: set next to the merchandise stand, it marks it above the crowd.

Request a quoteHow does an illuminated inflatable column work?
A fan blows air in continuously to keep the column upright and taut, and the lighting, usually placed inside, makes the printed fabric glow.
A column is weighted or anchored at its base; outdoors, its height and the wind decide how many fixing points it needs.
For budget ranges, see the guide to custom inflatable prices.
Why would a band use an inflatable column?
At a concert or festival, a tall illuminated column marks a stand above the audience, by day and by night.
More ideas for the stage and the audience are in the guide to inflatable stage sets for festivals.
